House Republicans want to punish campus protesters by sending them to live in Gaza for at least six months.
Any person, including students and faculty members, who is convicted for committing illegal activity on a college campus would be forced under newly proposed GOP legislation to basically die at the hands of Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) introduced the bill alongside Reps. Randy Weber (R-Tex.) and Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) as a coordinated response to the ongoing Gaza solidarity protests taking place all across the country at institutions of higher learning.
While the bill does not specifically mention Israel or the groups protesting Israel’s war, it is worded to specifically criminalize unlawful activity on college campuses that occurs after Oct. 7, 2023, this being the day that Hamas attacked Israel.
Similar to the PATRIOT Act and other police state legislation that was passed not long after 9/11, the new bill would expand the police state even further by forcing convicted offenders to perform six months of “community service” in Gaza as their punishment.
“Students have abandoned their classes to harass other students and disrupt campus-wide activities, including university commencement ceremonies nationwide,” Ogles told the media. “Enough is enough.”
“That’s why I introduced legislation to send any person convicted of unlawful activity on the campus of an American university since Oct. 7, 2023, to Gaza to complete a minimum of six months of community service.”

Weber also spoke to the media, telling reporters that he believes student and faculty protestors should be treated like terrorists as if they were actual members of Hamas.
“If you support a terrorist organization and you participate in unlawful activity on campuses, you should get a taste of your own medicine,” he said vengefully. “I am going to bet that these pro-Hamas supporters wouldn’t last a day, but let’s give them the opportunity.”
Most Republicans and Democrats in Congress have expressed opposition to the bill, which is definitely on the extreme end of the political spectrum. The chances of it passing are minimal, but if it were up to the bill’s sponsors, it would become law immediately.
The GOP also successfully issued a censure resolution against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) over statements she made accusing pro-Israel students of being “pro-genocide.” Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) reportedly filed that one.
Then there is Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), a fellow “Squad” member who was likewise censured for comments she made about Israel in the aftermath of October 7.
It is really sad to see how October 7 is once again dividing a nation. The Middle East is a complicated matter, and having it spill over into American life is only adding fuel to an already raging societal dumpster fire.
“These incidents have convinced me that we got it all wrong about the benefits of inclusiveness and diversity,” one commenter wrote. “Clearly, society functions better when there is a common culture, a sense of morality, uniform application of laws, and shared values.”
“And not just society but anything … militaries, sports teams, etc.,” responded another. “Can’t have a winning team of people if everyone is fighting each other and trying to go in a different direction.”
Someone else claiming to be 76 years old wrote that he has “never seen such destruction in our country in such a short period of time.”
“My husband and I are 78 years young and I believe it is hardest
on those of us who were raised in a significantly different environment,
morally, ethically and God fearing,” responded another. “The contrast is devastating.”
